How To Become A Digital Nomad?

How To Become A Digital Nomad?
Complete Guide For Beginners

When I got my first remote job a couple of years ago, would’ve never imagined that this location-independent lifestyle would change my entire life. I had no idea how to become a digital nomad. But this temporary job suddenly opened a whole new world to me: I was able to travel the world, live wherever I wanted to and make money online. I was hooked and knew that this is the perfect way of living for me.

What Is a Digital Nomad?

Let’s have a look at the definition of a digital nomad first:
A digital nomad is a person who uses technologies, such as smartphones, laptops and wireless internet, to make money online while often traveling the world, or at least move in an undefined frequency from one place to another.
As you can see the digital nomad lifestyle consists of two parts:

  • Making money online and
  • Traveling or moving (“nomading”) from one place to another.

Means, not everyone who has a remote or location-independent job is automatically a digital nomad. They need the nomad part, too. On the other hand, long-term traveller, who do local jobs around the world, are no digital nomads either. They are surely nomads, but are obviously missing the digital part.

How can Facebook advertisements become your business over the Internet?

How can Facebook advertisements become your business over the Internet?

Like many others, I have thoroughly searched all the possibilities of work over the Internet, including those via Facebook. I've found two ways that Facebook can bring you a profit:

1. Create a Facebook sales page. I am sure that your Facebook profile is full of requests for you to like the pages where something is sold or offers some service. Some of them have a large number of followers and they do quite well. And everything is being sold - from needle to locomotive.

On Facebook pages, you can literally open your online shop to have your little job from home.

Living in Australia

Living in Australia

Moving to Australia can be an amazing experience. Although it is the sixth largest country in the world at over 3 million square miles, it is only home to 21 million people, which ensures that natural beauty dominates over suburban landscapes (especially out of the main cities). The country boasts a diverse range of wildlife and nature and there are many species of animals and plants indigenous only to Australia.

The pristine beauty of the country’s wilderness coupled with the abundance of wildlife is part of the country’s attraction for potential expats.Moving to Australia provides the expat population with a very good quality of life. Life expectancy is high and stress is relatively low when compared with other countries in the world.

Imagining yourself living the dream in Australia? Interested in knowing the tips, tricks and strategies to apply for Australian visa personally? You can read about this and much more in a book about the recent experience of migration to Australia by Besko Halilovic who migrated from Croatia in 2006.

Australia as an expat destination

Australia as an expat destination

Founded by immigrants from the UK (many of whom were convicts), the population has grown significantly. Today, Australia is extremely multicultural and encourages controlled immigration from Europe and the US. The 1960s saw the country actively promoting immigration from abroad with many British families being offered incentives to move there; as long as they were white. People of ethnic backgrounds were restricted in emigrating because of the ‘White Australia’ policy. Luckily however, this was abolished in 1973 and ever since then the country has become increasingly cosmopolitan.

How to write a CV

How to write a CV

The process of presenting yourself to your future employer begins the moment you decide to apply for a particular job. The first thing you do to "connect" with a prospective employer is to present yourself through the CV.

The reason why you should have a well-written CV is that you will, in most cases, have great competition while applying for the job, so the purpose of well-written CV is to separate you from others (many) candidates and to take you one step higher at the job interview. With the better representation and the more your CV meets the needs and requirements of employers, you are more likely to be called for an interview.

The biography should present you in the best light, in a concise and well-structured manner. There are plenty of ways to write a CV and it is this fact you can take advantage and be as original. But let's start from the beginning ...

How to write a cover letter

How to write a cover letter

Cover Letter (CL) is a document that accompanies your CV when applying for a job. As the CV is a document written according to the established pattern and thus is similar from candidate to candidate, a cover letter is your chance to give some individual stamp to your biography and to stand out your specifics. CL is preferably as short as possible (200-250 words), and its aim is to guide the employer to the CV, to show the activity and characteristics that are of particular importance for the application.

Your cover letter should answer the questions that the employer might ask himself reading your CV. In short, the goal of the cover letter is to answer the question of employer: Why should I hire this person?

How much is physical appearance important for work?

How much is physical appearance important for work?

Very popular saying "Do not judge the book by its covers" is not extremely applicable in the business world. Whether is the case of a job interview or important business meeting, the first impression in business surroundings is brought based on how we look.

Almost all foreign experts in the human resources area are saying: “Yes, physical appearance is very important.” They justify this by fact where regardless of the importance of the look versus being competent, this is what people ascertain.

"The look is very powerful because it's the first filter" - says Silvia En Hevlett, economist and first president of Talent Innovation Center New York.
